I gotta say, so far this year started out pretty great.
I finished my thesis, got a new approach on some technical elements of ReDigitize and the best thing: onkeikun,
the best translator of the team, came back to us yesterday. She’s been quite busy herself and still kinda is, but she will make room for ReDigitize, so what I can say?
If things keep going like that, this project will be done in no time,
so we can maybe move forward to a different project, but I won’t tell you yet which one ;)

can you estimate when will you finish the translation? (even though answering this question is a bad idea). Im gonna bet it be done by june, so dat way its still less than a year and all the people with common sense would consider your team pretty fast.

This may be a little off-topic, but I’ve never tinkered with PSP game patches before. Could anyone point me in the right direction of a guide or give me an idea of the best route to take to use the patch, once it is released?
The main thing I’m wondering is if it’s possible to patch the Japanese PSP UMD directly, or if I have to have a digital copy.

@Michelle: I don’t believe there is a way to patch the UMD directly as that would somehow require the ability to grant yourself ‘WRITE’ permissions to an official UMD disc and I’ve never heard of that being done before.
There will most likely be some info on how to patch by the team when the translating patch is released.
You need an ISO of the game most likely. You can rip it yourself from the cart or get it in a not so legal way that I won’t talk about here nor do I support that way. I’m just laying out the options.
To rip it from the cart, just google it, here is one link I found via google:

There is plenty of information on googlel :)
@George: It’s only been a few weeks, there probably isn’t any significant updates. I’ve seen some patches go months without an update so it’s nothing to be concerned about, it just means there is no news.
