Yes you are reading right. After almost 3 years of work, thousands of hours, tears, panic attacks, and all the hardships we had to face, it’s here.
This is the Digimon World Re:Digitize Translation Patch! After testing over a period of about two weeks, in which all of us got little sleep, we are confident enough to release our baby to the world. Every one of us played through the game, and I 100%’d my third run today. All I can say is: It’s fun! The game is fun!
We are all extremely proud of our work. In playing through the game, there were times when it was hard to remember that this was written by us, that we are the authors of those very same English phrases that you guys are about to read. Incidentally, I’m very happy to release it on this particular day since, as it happens, today is also my Birthday! While we could probably polish it even more, I feel it’s time for you guys to enjoy it. We hope there won’t be any typos or other issues, but on the assumption that there will be, we have added functionality to the patcher program to release updates if need be. As the server may have issues if everyone presses that at once, I would ask that you not press it if you are downloading the patch on the day it was released. All of the 1.0 patches are included with the program, so it’s unnecessary anyway.
There’s really not much left to say. If you want to know how it started, and what it took to get where we are now, I advise you to read the “Legend of Operation Decoded” post, it’s all there. I don’t want to bore you with more stories, but I assure you this won’t be the last time you hear from of us ;)

Please keep in mind that we are distributing this under the Creative Common License, as a derivative work we own solely the rights to the translation, neither the game nor any other Brand associated with it.

As mentioned before, this patch won’t include a subbed version of the opening video, due to legal and technical reasons. This may change in a future update, but that is difficult to confirm as of yet. However, for those of you who want to know what’s going on in the video, you are free to check out this subbed video we posted on Youtube a while ago:

the PSN and a legal rip of the UMD Version are supported. Apart from that you can change between the Dub & Sub Version. Everything as promised :)

I’m getting a game freeze right after I enter my name – either a name I pick or the default both cause the same freezing right when Agumon starts jumping again. Is that the patch’s issue, or should I look into a new iso to re-patch or what?

@Problem: That sounds like your emulator might be out of date. We can’t reproduce it at the moment, though.
@Lunorr: Then you have a bad ISO. Either you had a transcription error in dumping your ISO, or you pirated the wrong one. Also, if it’s a CSO or other compressed image, it won’t work.

It seems most likely at this point to be because you’re using the UMD ISO rather than the PSN ISO. Why the UMD patch has a problem we haven’t determined yet.

Romsstar and I both need to get to bed. We’ll keep investigating, but we have a non-conclusive report that says the dub version works on both ISOs. If the game crashes at the name input, try the other version of the patch.

What’s the difference between the Dub and Sub, exactly? Aren’t Dubs usually a voice thing, while Subs are just subtitles?

Found an issue with the patch guys.
When I enter the passwords on the computer at Jijimon’s house I get a password incorrect error even thought the password is correct.
I think the passwords got changed with the patch or something o.o

I randomly decided to check the page as it was nearly 02:00 and I couldn’t sleep; now I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight XD
Thank you guys for doing this patch and spending so much time on it :D
For anyone on an android tablet and intends to use PPSSPP, I patched the ISO entirely on my tablet by installing the MEGA v2 to download the above files and the Rom Patcher app to apply Team Decodes patch to my ISO :)
Works like a charm, and I’ve increased the textures on it too :D might be calling in sick tomorrow morning XD

Great work, you guys; translating a game is hard enough when you’re working with an actual office team, let alone interacting with largely-anonymous figures across the internet. That you got this done so quickly (for example, it took AGTP ten years or so to release Alpha Gaiden) is incredibly impressive.

ALAS! We who test sometimes miss things, we had multiple people running different tests, so sometimes missing something like that isn’t due to noone seeing it, it’s simply reporting it to someone to change it, and that person being so overloaded with changes they forget to make a sticky note or something to remind them. Thanks for catching it, but do try to enjoy it the best you can!

Having a crashing issue when I enter in my name too. Even tried getting past it on PPSSPP and transferring the save only to find it then crashes when I enter File. Tried on two separate roms now.

An addendum to that last one, patcher was randomly just saving them as a “file” and not an ISO then it worked properly. I don’t know the cause of the issue

Yeah, we’re still working on why the sub version has problems for some people but not others, but I have yet to get any reports of the dub version crashing, so try that if you have trouble. Once we figure out what’s causing the problem, we’ll post an update.
As an aside, I am really glad I prodded Romsstar and CompCom into making it possible to release updates.

Just tested the dubbed version… it is fully functional on my psp 3000… whereas subbed version seem to crash after name input… i suggest all to use the dubbed version if your psp faced problem with subbed ver

Thank you Sporky. So far my only issue with the sub patch is getting incorrect password on Jijimon’s computer even when I put the correct password. This was on PPSSPP on one of the latest builds (1.0.1-600). On the unpatched rom, the passwords work without problem.

Save files are most likely compatible between patches so if you really want the sub version, you can have both and if the sub crashes in a spot you can use the dub version on that part and then switch back. Slightly tedious, but it should be an effective workaround until an actual fix is found

Another update:
Game got stuck right after the Agumon:”I’m sensing something” at the start. It’s not a freeze or crash, the game is just stuck, looking at a dark grass spot with the wind blowing.
I’ll try out a different ISO.

either way you end up with both the UMD and the Translation…
the Trans patch is so easy to use even the dead could manage (if brought Back to life by a Necromancer) to use it just fine. So if you really try hard, you should be able to work it out yourself

@BiasArif: Once the game is patched you can, but the patcher doesn’t work on anything but Windows 7 and 8. How well it will play on your phone depends entirely on how good your phone is, though.

One thing I noticed though, after getting Greymon for the Coliseum you get a letter from T.K. asking you to challenge him and his Agumon even though you actuallly fight Tai…anyway thanks again guys YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! :3

It definitely works with emulators. We wouldn’t have been able to make the patch without using an emulator as a debugging tool. Also, everyone on the team played through the entire game on emulators yesterday.

I announced earlier that I would be playing the unpatched version on twitch tomorrow morning to test my newly repaired machine few adjustments my machine is still temperamental as shit I shall now be playing the patched version AND instead of 2 hours at 6am tommorrow it shall be 8pm tonight(machine willing) and will go until I am seized by morpheus My twitchstream is under the name Vexrapopple.

@Satetsu: It doesn’t matter that they’re in the same folder, you have to press open file and navigate to the folder the ISO is in and double click on the ISO.
@Resty: It’s hard to say without doing some complicated maths, but I’d call it closer to 20%, maybe 30% if we’re lucky. The game has about twice as much text total, and a fair amount of the original has been changed to accommodate the changes the new parts of the plot introduced. That said, between having tools already made and familiarity with the way the game’s data is stored, we can probably work faster this time.

@A Fan: I’m afraid not. You can watch the Youtube video in the post, and we’re hoping to add that in a 1.1 release, but we didn’t want to delay putting out the patch while we tried to find a solution that might not come.
@Resty: It will read your save file, but it’s the same voice acting. “Dub” in this case means it uses the names and terms from the US dub. Like Digivolve instead of Evolve and Gallantmon instead of Dukemon.
@Ryu: Probably the same bug with the sub version, try dubs for now, we’re working on it.

I think I know what causes the crash with the sub thing.
The sub or dub option in the patcher has to due with your region of PSP or Emulator. If it’s a Japanese PSP, use the sub option, if it’s american or european, use the dub option

Small typo (I think? getting confused here xD) Using agumon in the sub version his special skill is called pepper breath instead of baby flame. also why do the numbers look so weird, small white spots with big ass area’s around em. kinda hurts the eyes, tho that might be a setting in ppsspp

On ‘Input ISO’, select your japanese ISO. On ‘Output ISO’, create a copy from your Japanese ISO on another folder and rename it (something like patched), it’ll ask if you want to override an already existing file (the copy you just made. Select ‘Yes’). Select either Sub (Japanese names for Digimons and attacks or Dub (English names for Digimon and attacks) (Read Sporky comment for details). Click ‘Patch’, enjoy.

Finally, a tip for the patcher. If you’re having an issue with the output file not being in the correct format, make sure you’re using a file name ending with .iso that should do the trick!

I’ve had a couple of issues with the dub version:
-Roughly half of the Colosseum battles are causing the game to crash
-Talking to MarineAngemon in the water area causes the game to crash
Aside from this, you’ve done a fantastic job. Thank you so much!

As far as I know, there isn’t any way to play the physical UMD with our patch. There was some talk at one point about making it possible, but the person who planned to program it didn’t end up doing so.

I tried it out already on my PSP firmware 6.20PRO-B10. It starts well, but then it blocks and crashes as soon as I insert the character name… Please can someone tell me if there is a way to solve the problem? Does it depend on the fact that I’m using the sub version of the patch rather than the dub one? Or it is a problem with my firmware?

Thank you all so much! I’ve been checking the progress on the translation every day for the past year and a half and have been looking forward to it always!
I’m super glad this came out today because I was actually starting to get massively depressed. I love the entire digimon franchise and haven’t been able to get anything to help quench the thirst I’ve had these last 2 months and being depressed about so many awesome digimon games that it felt like we would never get.
I even stooped so low as to re download Digimon Masters online and try to enjoy some digimon, only to remember that Joymax, the company who runs it, had killed the game to make sure that you had to pay money to enjoy it.
After this my heart sunk, I looked up news hoping that ANYTHING new involving digimon was happening and hit a big wall of nope. After all that I decided to check on this site today before I went off to eat dinner and no joke, almost cried out with happiness and my sunken heart has risen!
Just want to say thank you to everybody involved with this, past and present. Romsstar, Sporky McForkinspoon, CompCom, Roxas75, Onkeikun, StorMyu, Kalker, Rai for his awesome modding and really making me laugh when I was down sometimes at his responses, and anybody else on the team who reads this comment even if I didn’t mention you Thank you so much~!

If anybody is having trouble with passwords, you can do this – save the game, run the original jap iso. Type the password, save and and load the saved game in the patched one.

That’s extremely helpful, zerosaver. If you don’t mind, could you email me at OpDecode@gmail.com? No one on the team has been able to reproduce any of the crashes, so if you could use Skype or Teamviewer to show me what happens, I’d really appreciate it. If you’re running a real PSP, that would make things more difficult, but I could use help with that too.
@Anonymous: You need to put the output in a different place than the input. Just pick a different name. Leave the Data folder alone, the program uses that when it needs to.

No crashes or bugs so far, playing patched kaiju-dwrdu.iso on PPSSPP emulator, and I am 5 hours in the game. Sub version.

I think it might be helpful if those with crashes say what version they have (the CRC) I know both are supported, I’m using the 9E800037 one and have not had any issue at all (besides a ppsspp setting)
Using the sub version I’ve been able to get a name and talk to togemon in the gym (not that far in the game yet)
The more information you can give to sporky and romsstar the easier it is for them to resolve the issues (hopefully)

I have however ran into a small problem, and I don’t know if it’s something I did wrong somewhere along the line but I seem to get random crashes at the colosseum, once it happened before the dialogue, once right after the dialogue and once after I won, there have also been about four times when it hasn’t crashed at all. I’m playing the dubbed version and am playing on an actual PSP.

Excellent work =) Only one error i’ve found in the text so far. I’m playing the dub version and when you have to go to signpost forest your told in the dialogue and the mail from niko to go east to get there. But Jijimon’s memorial stella locations mail tells you it is to the south west.

“Neverending Battles” crashes if you lose. Again I’m using PRO-C2 6.60. (P.S I’m not posting my PSP model because the serial number kinda washed out and I don’t remember what it was, sorry I’ve had this thing for ages.)

I was so hyped to play this game and it doesn’t work on my psp
I’m using a psp 2000 with cfw 6.60 Pro-c2 and the buttons are fucked up, it’s like they’re continuously pressed so when i make a choice the cursor just goes up and down non-stop
I don’t think it’s my psp because every other game works normally and i can’t find info on the subject, the only thing i found is someone else with the same problem but no fix
Is there another dump other than Kaiju?

Very sad to say I’ve tried my best following the instructions…The only few things I was successful with is downloading the pro-B on to my PSP 3000, getting the ISO from my original Digimon Digitize disk and attempting to add the patch to it into the correct folders..But in the end nothing happens. I don’t understand how to get the patch and game working together. :(

Not sure where to report this other than here. On the dub version, my game froze during the cutscene at the first Memorial Stela. The game was still working, but whatever was supposed to happen just didn’t, so the game was stuck in the cutscene.

I would love some help. I get the Japan ISOs to different folders, select one for input, and the other for output, and choose dub. It looks like it patches to about 60% based on the progress bar, then it stops and a window pops up to say “unable to find Xdelta executable”. then it tells me to run updates, despite the fact that I already have the four Xdelta files from the update, as well as your log about the junk digits from names over 8 characters. I am confused and need a fix for my uncomprehending stupidity, cause I think it should be an easy fix.

People. Stop saying “OMG CRASH AT !!” Give us actual information. Like Romsstar said, are you playing this on a PSP? PS3? Using an emulator like PPSSPP? If you’re playing on a PSP, what Firmware are you using.

@Tiago: Nobody on the team foresaw this happening. We were all playing it completely fine through PPSSPP, and what works on PPSSPP, why wouldn’t it work on the real thing? I mean, I’d understand if it didn’t work on PPSSPP, but it did on PSP, there are games that do that.

Hey sorry. to add to my previous statement, I am using ppsspp version 0.9.9 and I have the ISO where I can play it just normally with Japanese on a windows laptop. No clue how to resolve the error where the patcher keeps saying that it cannot find the Xdelta files, despite the fact that I downloaded the update that you guys provided.

Yeah, sometimes the companies put some “piracy protection” lock that only activate on the real hardware and not in a emulator. I already see some cases like these happening a lot on the fan translations of the NDS games. Never really see happens on the PSP though, until now.
But as i said, i really appreciate that you guys have done such a wonderful thing for everyone that wanted to play the game. And i know that at least, if you use an emulator, you will be able to play fine. Now, i can only hope you guys can somehow patch this problem on the PSP ( or in some PSPs, i don’t know how this crashes are really happening ). Still, for the translation itself, it’s such a great thing.

´First, I use my PSP with 6.60 PRO-C.
At first i tried the sub version, but after naming my character the game freezes (while agumon jumps). Tried it several times but wont go any further.
Then i used the dub version, runs nice. But found my first bug there, when I try to talk to MarineAngemon in Submerged Ruins the games freezes.

My game runs fine, it just has a few issues with the text/shadows of text (hardly noticable on text, more noticable on numbers like days/stats i posted an image of it before) unless that’s normal of course ^-^.

I actually downloaded mine from mega upload I think? (I don’t remember) It was pre patched so its possible they uploaded a bad patch. I’ll try finding a rawr ISO, and patching it myself see if it helps.

Can someone please tell me how I actually patch the ISO? I clicked on to the DWRD Patcher.exe..Only just seen this now (silly me) but whenever I put the ISO for “input”, selected either English dub/sub and then click ‘patch’, for some odd reason it says “No ISO entered” when there is. What am I doing incorrectly? Any help would be absolutely amazing, I’m a complete noob for when it comes to doing stuff like this and want to try playing it on the PPSSPP.

What exactly is the difference between the dub and the sub? I thought the dub would be like splicing english audio in, but i patched my iso with the dub selection and all the voices are obviously in japanese. So other than translating the game text, what the difference?

ok, i’m playing the dub version on cf 6.35b on PSP go! i freez on talk with the digimon in the ruins and in the tournament menu but are easyly dodgeble loading the savegame with the jap version, beat the tournament, switch again in the translated on.. Btw just a little question about evolution chart, i’v a Graymon with all stats 600+ MP 6000 and HP 3800.. how to evolve it in wargreymon?

@Daniel Rossevolt, if you downloaded a prepatched iso then it may not be the authentic work of Operation Decode. Only way be certain you have the right file, and only way thats supported by the team, is to patch an iso you’ve made yourself.

The problems appear to only present in real PSPs. Anyone using an emulator should be fine. We’re working on a fix for PSPs, and will put up a post with details when we know more.

Happy belated birthday, Romsstar, and thanks to the whole team – I’ve been eagerly awaiting this for a long time!
I was also having crash issues playing on the latest version of JPCSP – that emulator has a lot of difficult displaying some of the graphics of this game with all the settings I’ve tried. I kept crashing a the Colosseum. I switched over to PPSSPP and haven’t had an issue since, and the game runs much smoother, without any of the graphical issues. So to anyone having troubles running this on an emulator, go with PPSSPP.

Sporky & romsstar, have you considered opening a temporary IRC channel to support people with patching? Just there seems to be alot of questions that’re getting drowned out by other questions, an IRC channel could be useful as it would allow instant replies for the multiple topics such as discussing the game, getting help or comparing stats. It’d be easier and quicker than setting up a forum, generate a strong sense of community, and you could signify non-staff users who give trusted advice in a main channel using the vop/voice status (obviously you’d use operator status for staff and halfop for Rai/future moderators)
it’s also possible to embed a java applet that can connect straight to a specified chat room on the blog so it wouldn’t be difficult to direct people there.
I have a fair bit of experience in running an IRC server and friends of mine run a network (SwiftIRC) if you would need any help in getting one set up, it’d probably take about an hour or so to talk someone through it while teaching them, takes literally 5minutes once you know what you’re doing though.

Hi Again had 5 hours of perfect game play and no crashes just a typo and a possible typo that hasn’t been mentioned yet , so i figure i should just in case it’s been overlooked or you had a shit ton on your plates and someone forgot about it, which is understandable considering how perfect this game is translated otherwise. Don’t know if it matters but i’m running PPSSPP latest , Dubbed

Typo 1 :
Mail – Garbage Data 02 – Paragraph 3 Line 2
There is no space between what and makes so it reads whatmakes.
Possible Typo 2 :
I could be very wrong here but on RizeGreymon’s card it says rdigivolver, referring to a type of revolver on his arm and like i said, i may be wrong but it just looks a little wierd but yeh could be right that one i have no idea

Thank you for telling us about the upcoming fixes.The game crashes when you try talking to a digimon in the area where you have to walk on water (he is white, ghost like with wings, do not remember the name). I lost so much fish T_T. I am using phat psp with dub version. No crashes in the arena yet but I did not play it too much.
Otherwise the patch is awesome thank you guys.

Game freezes at tournaments, a few Coliseum battles and when talking to a digimon npc at the Water Ruins or somthing. Tried 3 isos, one already patched, dunno what seems to be the problem. Thanks.

I figured out a work-around for the name select freeze on the sub patch. If you save after you pick your name in dub, you can then load the save on the sub version of the ISO. I hope this helps some!

Currently playing the Dub Version, trying to Fish for digi-anchovies after getting the “buoyancy-program” (submerged ruins), after I accepted the quest/offering to help the Impmon there, and searching for the Anemone, i run across this pink digimon thing(dunno the name), when i talked to it, the game crashed… is it just that digimon? should i just avoid that pink digimon thing?

Great News to hear team. Thank you for the patch and hope I could find a donation button here somewhere, but before I do, I have a question. Is it possible to put a translated file on a legit copy of digimon re digitize decoded (Eventhough its not done, but I’m just saying) with american 3ds, but since I bought a legally copy of it I don’t know how to rip the roms from a 3ds system. I’m using the game to exploit called Cubic Ninja with smealum.net to play a region free game on my American 3ds. I don’t want to spend a hacked rom on Gateway eventhough its a great cartridge rom, but there is so many of them I can’t find the right copy of it because of fake cartridge rom are being made.

Hai all, just wanted to say that I’ve been playing on PPSSPP and so far no issue whatsoever. All is fine on my front.
Running version 0.9.9.1 of PPSSPP and the 64 bit version. I suggest anybody running PPSSPP for the first time check some guides on it to make sure that you have things set correctly for your system, remember that sometimes the crashes you may be receiving may be hard to reproduce and fix because if your unique system set up. If you post a crash try to at least post your operating system, PPSSPP version,
ALSO, if anybody experiencing crashes is playing with custom firmware on a normal PSP. Please list your firmware version and your PSP version as there are many different thing which could be a factor in the crash.

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you may be able to help me out. Basically while doing the 3D Ghost Leg training for some reason it doesn’t come up with the lines to follow as I’ve seen in YouTube videos. It’s just the two bombs and three random numbers up top.
Is this normal? Like a setting or something? Annoying as I can’t work out accurately and confidently where the right one is lol.

A few things I have noticed if the team is interested and a trick to start the game up experiencing the black screen upon starting the game. For those interested read on:
If you played the game already and you have an existing save file, it can be used for the patched version. It can help bypass the black screen when you first attempt to play the game since it doesn’t play the intro video of the game only. Just get your partner digimon and save. Load the saved game in the patched version and it should work. (im using CFW 5.00 M33-620 btw and it does give me a black screen on the intro vid.)
If you are playing with a psp that uses a CFW 5.00 M33-620 or lower, you need to update your psp. Both Sub and Dub will give you the same black screen on the intro video or far worse. I will try a few setups and get back to this thread asap and post what works for me. Just a little way to give back to the team and the community who fully followed this project from day one.
And lastly a question how will you check or see lines like “9E800037” that some of the members are talking about? i wanna see it for myself thanks!

Again we are sorry this happened but I assure you it wasn’t because we rushed it, it just seemed inconceivable to us that this might even be an issue. I just found an error in “Memorial Stella Locations” mail by jijimon.
It says:
“East of the city is the Ancient Bone Swamp. Southwest of the city is the Signpost Forest, and to the southeast you’ll find the Submerged Ruins.”
The names of the areas are mixed up. It should be:
“East of the city is the Signpost Forest. Southwest of the city are the Submerged Ruins, and to the southeast you’ll find the Ancient Bone Swamp.”

@Anonymous: The patch and patcher are a set, it has everything you need to patch the game in the zip file from Mega. However, we cannot legally give you the game itself, you have to get that yourself. The legal way involves buying the game, either importing the UMD or buying it on PSN, and then using our patcher.

My PSP is broken so I am playing with PPSSPP emulator without problem. You need the full Jap ISO and the english patch. With the emulator you do not have to worry about the firmware, it plays right away without problems.

Alot of the Colosseum Free battles make my PSP crash whenever the character you’re fighting is about to talk, also there is a typo in one of the Signpost Forest choices (Story, its after you recover the Stella and talk to Akiho) “I’m going go the Swamp”

Update: We are aware that there are bugs in the patch when playing on a PSP. We have figured out the cause and a likely solution to the problem, and should have an updated version of the patch out in a day or two. In the mean time, the game plays perfectly well on PPSSPP.

Just noticed that the description for “Proof Of Courage” (The Wargreymon digivolution item) says it allows “your champion digimon to digivolve into this hero digimon”
Isn’t Wargreymon a mega, and as such the item would need to be given to an Ultimate?

Anyways,
Thought I’d let you know that the game always crashes when I try to talk to MarineAngemon in the Sunken Ruins. I’ve tried both the sub and dub patches.
Other than that, There are some Colosseum Battles that will crash the psp right after the combatants introduce each other. (For e.g. Retirement Free Battle)
I’m using a PSP 3000 CFW 6.60

The original ISO should be either .95 or .98 GBs, depending on whether you have the UMD or PSN version. It’s probably easier to do a hash check though. If you get a CRC32 of either 9E800037 or 4F15A275 then you’re probably okay, though I guess if someone felt like it, they could spoof the CRC.

Argh, my luck!
My H-Kabuterimon died, so I started raising a new digi, got Demidevimon as my rookie and was thinking “ooh, cool, I’ve not had any of the ‘dark’ digimon yet”
And then Demidevimon digivolved into Kabuterimon :(
And I trained completely differently! My digivice says balanced stats for kabuterimon and everything was around 350 last time, this time, defence and brains wree still below 100 (even after digivolving to kabuterimon) and speed was almost 700.
Sorry, I know it’s nothing to do with the patch, but it seemed the most appropriate place to vent my digi-rage

Been playing the sub version without any issues at all so far.
Though, 2 minor nitpicks:
1. A WarGreymon X in the Colliseum (or perhaps all WarGreymon Xs?) is listed/named as “BlackWarGreymon X”.
2. Even though it’s sub version, finishing moves still use their dub moves (like Nova Blast instead of Mega Flame).
Dunno if this was reported already, but no way I’m reading 500+ comments to check.

Just want to say a huge thank you for this, it has no doubt been a huge undertaking, since you guys have nothing in the way of funding or professional tools I’m sure. I’m going to love playing through this game, now with english text, I gave the game a go unsubbed, but couldn’t enjoy it to the fullest. Now I can! I have dedicated a entire day to play this patched version. I played both on PPSSPP and on my PSP, both running without any problems at all. I used the latest version for PPSSPP and the newest firmware for the PSP.

Anyway, I am glad to here you have worked out why the Coliseum glitch is happening, and that you are working on it. I noticed it on all three of my games (which are on the PSP 1000, 2000 and PSPGO)
at the start of the second round of the “My first Match” against Gabumon as the text part started.
Free battles all play fine so far.
I am sure the Team will be able to fix the Problem as soon as they can. Considering that the rest of the game runs just fine, it isn’t a big deal to wait to tackle the coliseum section of the game until then.

@Konan: We translated everything in that part of the game, and the network mode works on real PSPs, but I’ve never been able to get it working with PPSSPP. I think the emulator needs more work before it will be able to manage it, but that’s not our department.

They are, you can also use the Japanese version of the game as well, and the saves will transfer back and forth just fine.

Yup, they’re compatible with each other. It’s also compatible with a clean ISO. I’ve tried. Plus I use the clean ISO to get around the coliseum crashes.

1. inputting a name at the beginning of the game
2. when talking with marineangemon
3. cant get the passwords to work on the labtop in jijimon’s house
4. when registering a free battle called “Retirement Decision” in colloseum 1F

Glad to hear you’re so on top of fixing things :) In the meantime I’m just saving before every colosseum battle and before any new digimon I talk to – the problem is annoying but it can be mostly worked around. Would be nice to do some tournaments but I can get some plot done and just raise a better digimon to take them on in the meantime :)

I have a question about the game, though: I have defeated both Taichi and Sora in the colosseum, and they told me that I unlocked WarGreymon and Garudamon. But WHAT exactly did I unlock? I can’t find anything in the menus. At the beginning I thought I had unlocked the digivolution requirements, but in the chart there’s nothing new…

@romore: when you unlock examplewise wargreymon. It means that you Can now evolve Into it, meaning you have to unlock some megas in the coloseum :)

Basically, until you beat them, your Digimon won’t evolve into WarGreymon or Garudamon respectively, even if they have the right stats for it. It unlocks them in the sense that it’s now possible to evolve into them if you do everything else correctly.

@Anonymous: It’s incredibly easy. You have to have the ISO, double click on the patcher program, use the first button to tell the program where the ISO is, with the second one type in a name for the new ISO, then push the third button.
@Zereon: The Colosseum NPCs get randomized with every new game, so if you do a new game + he’ll be in a different fight.
@Cain: Yeah, assuming I remember right. Most of the cool megas are locked by Colosseum fights, and a few require evolution items that you can only get one of per game unless you cheat.

When I try to leave the plains my game freezes and my monitor becomes completely black for a few seconds. PPSSPP becomes unresponsive once the screen returns.
I use Windows 7, the lastest PPSSPP build and tried various ISOs.

@outlaa187: Okay im not certain, but it sounds like you are using the x button to try and proceed. However, as this is a japanese game, the circle button is the one used for this. So try and use that. :)

TO ANY ANY1 HAVING A “CREATE SAVE DATA PROBLEM” – Press “O” instead of “X” (meaning, NOT creating a save file), and simply continue the game. You cane make a save file later. As sismple as that! “X” is a “Cancel” button here, so if ya got used to uising it as a “Confirm”, either reconfigure or use “O”.

Vex, I managed to defeat rosemon using a nearly maxed wargreymon-x with the most powerful skills it can use. She upgrades the collosseum gym to do advanced training, which of course is faster gym due to the toilet on the same screen.
Does anyone know how to get through the gates where the golden numemon goes through to what a digimon (i think monzaemon?) said was his house?

@Francesco Esposito: To further help you in your cause, it is needed to reach 7 of theese requirements to get wargreymon. If you use the picture you posted as an example, you would notice that you only tick 5 requirements, possibly more, as i dont know about your battles or care mistakes. However, what you could have done in that case was to raise hp to 5000 and get your discipline up to 95 :)

I want to help a little bit if I can, so I’ve been making a small list of even smaller typos/errors I have found. Sorry if some of them have already been pointed out, and I may be wrong on some of them:
-When you win at the colosseum, it says “price” instead of prize
-when you pay Airdramon, it says you “receive” $ instead of paid
-In (red) wargrowlmon’s card it says “A ultimate” instead of “An”
-In Lilamon’s card it says “death andrebirth”
-Maybe Gururumon and BlackGarurumon card descriptions are “reversed”.
-Maybe in Lady Devimon’s card the word wasn’t “infinitesimal”
-Maybe there is a typo in Rizegreymon’s “Rdigivolver”, or maybe it is the name (a quick google search didn’t show results for the name).
I am not a native english speaker but I think the game is really well translated/written. Seeing the high quality of your translation I thought you maybe would like these small details to be corrected as well.

hi guys,
i’m from germany and follow you since a long time. first of all thank you for your hard work.
I’ve got a PSP since 2010, i think it is a 3000.
I install the firmware ect. and copy the UMD on my pc. then i download your patch. whats should i do next? i dont know how to run the game ect. or what of the things should i copy to my psp and in which folder?
can somebody help me, explain or send me link how this works?

Please help! On the ppsspp emulator for android, right after the opening video it stays on the loading screen forever. When I try it on the ppsspp for pc it plays just fine. I went back to default settings and tried again on the ppsspp for android but still gets stuck on the loading screen. Someone please help because I really want to play this on my phone. Can you share your settings or give some advice?

@Jay: Okay what you wanna do now is open the patcher, the file called “DWRD patcher”. When opened you wanna click on “Open file”, which will then bring you to your own personal computer files. When there, you pick the Iso from whereever you saved it. Then you click on the white space under “Output Iso”. Here you type in whatever you want the patched iso to be called. At last you tick either the dub or sub box. However if you want to play on a real psp i suggest you pick the dub, as it has less bugs. Now all there is left to do is to click on the patch button and your patched iso should end up somewhere besides the patcher.
Hope it clarifies. :)

sibot: Pls clarify that, do you have the actual umd, which is the game in itself on a legit disc you bought?
If you have that, then you wanna follow the tutorial that romstar posted as a link along with the actual patch. It will teach you to rip off the iso from the disc.
When you get the iso or if that is what you already had. Then you wanna use the patcher to patch the clean japanese iso.
When you have the actual patched iso, you want to connect your psp to your computer and open its archive. When inside you want to create a new archive called “Iso” and this is where you will put your patched iso. If you have a proper custom firmware installed, you should now be able to play the game.
This might be a bit messy, write if you have problems. :)

I just want to clarify to anyone who’s wondering about posts that are waiting for approval, this is all because of how shitty WordPress is. Don’t think you have done anything wrong when your post is waiting for approval, it’s entirely WordPress’ fault.
If you’ve made a legit post and it’s in unapproved, I’ll approve it, or Sporky will most likely. If your unapproved post gets deleted, well, frankly it’d be because your post has either been said before, or the contents has been said before. Or it’s plain stupid. either way, we don’t do this on purpose.

Hi still crash free, just a few more minor typo’s to report.
1: Lilamon Card
The last words have no space between them so it reads andrebirth.
2: New’s log – Popular online game – Digimon
2nd paragraph 3rd line, there is a misplaced comma “fight each, other”
2:News Log Water outage information
3rd paragraph and first line it says general speaking and in the context i think it should be generally speaking, though i admit i could be wrong on that one.
3: News log – unusual lifeline status
2nd line a extra comma in the words:
“water supply, electricity, gas, and other….”
4: same as above , 2nd paragraph last line
it reads :
“requests have been made to make information on the program be made available to the public” i think the 2nd be made shouldn’t be there.
Other than these minor thing’s i haven’t noticed anything else and the game runs great, i’m using ppsspp and the Dub patch.
By the way the accessories are fracking awesome i’ve purposefully cut myself off from the bulk of information on this game and i was amazed by these since i love customization in games :D
To finish up i’m at 21 hours and to be perfectly honest this is the best 1.0 translation i have ever seen and also it’s better than most “completed” translations. You people are really good at what you do so thank you for that and for this! :D

Just a notice for anyone using a Mac! To run the patcher you’ll need a programme that can allow your computer to run an .exe file as an .app file which is basically Windows programme to Mac programme. I used one called Wine, patched it perfectly fine, lots of videos on how to patch things and how to use the programme.

I used to post on here before, then studies and life got in the way but I always lurkerd silently, checking for an update. And then it came, the most awaited announcement for all Digimon fans. I just got around to beating the game and I must say it was amazing. I got the prosperity up to a modest 73 and with Wargreymon as only my 2nd mega. My first order of business had to be to thank the people responsible for making it happen and on doing such a wonderful job. Thank you all so much : Romsstar, Sporky, everybody who helped and the people mentioned in the credits. You guys are legends for me. Apart from a few grammatical errors, this translation project has been a huge success. Thank you all once again, you guys did a huge service to this community

Having a blast despite the crash things(it’s just the coliseum I think – excited for when fix comes out.). I seem to be a sucky tamer though, my Digimon keeps goin to DigiHeaven before reaching ultimate form. TT^TT Anyone know if there are some guides available around? The only one I’ve seen is the one on gamefaqs.

Hey everyone, looks like we got a lot of questions while I was sleeping. I hope most of you with problems have been able to find solutions, but here’s a few general statements.
The bug fix will probably be out tomorrow, it’s nearly ready now, but before we put out a new patch and promise that it fixes all the bugs, I want to play a few hours of the game on my PSP to confirm it.

I am new to all of this and the instructions are based on a actual PSP, rather then the PPSSPP emulator you guys said it works on. Can you please upload some sort of tutorial showing how to do this on the PPSSPP emulator rather than an actual PSP because I dont have one D: please help, I dont know how to check what firmware I have or any of that stuff

Those tutorials are to show you how to get the ISO. Once you have one, using the patcher is extremely simple, and playing the game on PPSSPP is equally so. Just download PPSSPP, put the patched ISO in the same folder as the emulator, and run the game.

@anonymous if you check gamefaqs you can find a digivolution guide one of the things on each chart is quota I thunk quota is the number of stats you have to match/beat so if a mon has requirements in app 6 stats but only a quota of 3 then you only need 3 of those six…I think thats how it is anyway

So I’ve pretty much hit 100% now, plenty of digivolutions still to achieve but i’ve got items for all but 7 of them, and 6 sets of cards still to complete, then im done apart from the extra collosseum battles that the passwords unlock.
When do you think you’ll be releasing the passwords sporky?

I’ve never really commented on here, but I have been following the project.
I just want to give my thanks to all those worked on this. I know it ain’t much, but it’s the least I can do.
I use to think digimon fans were an extremely rare species prior to coming to this site.
Thank you for making it possible to play this game. I’m hoping, as I’m sure everyone is as well, that Cyber Sleuth comes over to west without the need of you guys having to the translation yourselves again.
I’m not sure if you guys are aware, but there is a Digimon Adventure PSP game translation going on with another team that I hope eventually reaches to the point you guys achieved with Re:Digitize.

I have high hopes for Cyber Sleuth, as far as I know it’s still up for pre order as a PS4 port on several countries’ Amazon sites.
I’m aware that the Adventure game has a patch going, but as far as I know, they have basically stopped working on it at this point. I could be wrong, though.

Hey guys, I’m not really sure where how to contact you about typo and stuff so I’ll put what I’ve found here.
I found 2 typo so far (I’m playing the DUB patch btw) :
I believe the correct phrase is “Obtained Prize” not “Price”
On the last part of the second to last line, there’s a missing space.
Not exactly a typo or anything, just something to think about. I understand that the very first letter from original DW1 character used only initials. This leads to a little confusion for me since I got an email from T.K. (initials of Taichi Kamiya) and at first I thought it was sent by TK (Takeru Takaishi’s US name). Not really a bother, just something to note.

Once you get your tamer rank high enough it becomes increasingly difficult to get him if you didn’t handle it earlier

Thanks so much for this!! I’ve been playing it nonstop. Everything works fine until I started playing in the Coliseum :( After winning the fight, the game freezes and then crashes..some Free Battles are good..but a few of them does the freeze and crash :/

I’ve played the jap version before, and when I try to load, it works just fine, and I’m doing many things just fine
the problem is, when I’m going to the arena or colosseum of the 10th floor, the game keeps crashing a lot at certain point, and there are lot of that points. I can only challenge 2 person at the free battle
Do I need to play it again from the start since the save data might affect it? or do I have the wrong patch? Please help… Some advice could help too…

i want to give my thanks to you guys been waiting sence the start. Also i want to say there is a problem with he passwords in jijmon passwords. However i found a way around it. Load ur save on to ppsspp. play the orginal jap rom enter cheats. save ur game. then play the pached verison. and there u go. im acutally playing on my phone so theres a step or 2 not listed. but where smart people im sure we can get it. hope this help some of you :)

Can someone help me. I have literally spent the past 4 hours trying to find the ISO. I have a psp3000 on 6.20pro. I have tried google for the ISO, tried running the UMD through the usb cable but it just gives me UMD9660 in a rar file, I have opened it and gone through every file twice over but still no ISO!

You don’t just “find” the ISO, it’s not a file in the game, it’s a single file containing the entire game’s data. You will have to make one. There’s a tutorial in the main post that will show you how.

Sporky mate, I have tried that guide, I have even tried another 2 or 3 that follow the exact same steps pretty much, but step 6: Open your usual PSP folder in ‘My Computer’. You should see a ISO file titled ‘UMD9660’ it isnt a ISO file, its a RAR file.

You’re very close. Use the patcher on that file, then put the new file the patcher makes onto your PSP’s root/ISO folder without unzipping it. WinRar shouldn’t actually be used with the ISO, it’s just what your computer thinks is best, and it’s wrong.

He has tried, and had some success. So far though, the game crashes if you open the Digivice menu. If he makes a breakthrough, I expect that sort of thing will make it into a 1.2 patch.

@Anonymous just because windows uses winrar to open the file doesn’t mean it’s a “.rar”. You should disable “Hide file extensions for known file types” in windows. When you patch the .iso just copy the patched one in the psp, don’t decompress it.

@Sporky I used the patcher on the UMD and it did something, it saved into PSP/GAME, so your saying move it out of there and put it into MP_ROOT as the RAR file and that should work? Been hard work for me, nothing seems to be working as it should, or maybe its just me. You say RAR is wrong, what should I download to run the ISO correctly then?

You’re pretty close, but you just need to move the file from PSP/Game to the card’s root/ISO folder, which you might have to create. That should do it. But remember, put the one made by the patcher there, not the original file.

No, that patch has bugs. We’ll have a new one out later today that won’t. In the mean time, if you patch the game again and pick the American flag instead, you can get fairly far. You can also try playing the game on PPSSPP on your computer, which doesn’t have any major problems.

I just checked again and they do seem to be xdelta patches. It’ll probably work, but open sourcing the .net patcher would be nice in case there is behind the scene magic it pulls, or at least a confirmation from the devs that it is just a front end to the xdelta binary.
Maybe command line instructions to skip the use of the front end gui would be a nice inclusion.

I do not own a psp, so I bought the game 1 year ago from amazon, just to create an iso file of the game in order to play on computer, I had the iso prepared in my computer for so long and now I can finally play it in english, with my xbox controller. Thanks a lot guys, You rock, the game can have a bad typo here and there, but it’s free of bugs and the typos aren’t important since it’s just little things, we ppsspp users are fortunate. By the way, drawing is one of my passions, apart of gaming and runing, so I’m thinking to make a drawing in your honor, hope you guys like it :P

@Ein: That’s probably why. I know the patcher doesn’t work on XP, and it may not on Vista either. Try googling the .net Framework 4.5 and see if you can install it. If not, email me at OpDecoded@gmail.com and I’ll walk you through applying the patch manually.
To the people who asked about what our patcher does, it is basically just a front end for XDelta, the only real new features are that it performs a hash check to decide which ISO you have, and that it can download updated patches from our server. You can use XDelta to apply them yourself if you do the hash check manually.

If it doesn’t, you can do things manually, but that’s more complicated, I’m afraid. First, download XDelta UI from here. You’ll also need to install a program like HashTab to check which ISO you have, though there are other options.
If you install HashTab, right click on the ISO, and then click on properties. In the new window that pops up, click on File Hashes. It may take a few minutes to process such a large file, but when it’s done, keep that window open. Now, in the data folder of the our patcher program are four .xdelta files. Open up the XDelta UI program from that first link, click on the box that says patch, and navigate to that folder. Go back to the File Hashes window, and choose the sub or dub version of the file that matches your MD5 hash. If there isn’t one in there, you have a bad ISO.
Click the second button, the one for the source file and navigate to you ISO, and then for the Output File pick a folder, like your Desktop, that you have easy access to and type in a name for the new ISO, and make sure to put .iso at the end. Then click patch, when a message pops up saying it’s done, you can use the patched ISO with PPSSPP or put it on a CFW’d PSP.

This is wonderful. I was a HUGE fan of Digimon World for the PS1. I have played several other Digimon games but not one touched me quite like Digimon World for PS1.
When I heard of this game I just had to play it. I looked and looked for an English patch because my Japanese reading skills suck anus. Then I found and started to follow you guys. Cheering you on all the way.
Now it is here and it is beautiful. I love what you have done with it. I have played it for several hours already. You guys have done a very professional job. Super big ups and a kudos too. You guys are my Digimon heros.

You will need our patcher program, which only runs on Windows 7 and Windows 8. To my knowledge, there is no XDelta build for Android. You’ll need to find a PC to patch the game and then transfer it onto your phone.

The input is your Japanese ISO, the output is the folder and name where you want the new ISO to be made.

I’m also not sure how to use the DWRD Patcher, or update my game in general. Some kind of help would be much appreciated. I’ve googled every where and can’t find anything. I’m guessing I need the Japanese version of the game first. I’m using ppsspp, and I’m not sure what it means by output and input ISO.

Yeah. You need the Japanese ISO. Select it with the input button. Pick a folder and type a name ending in .iso for the output. Push patch.

You guys i gotta say your amazing once again, ive passed through the main story only got 10 or 20 prosperity points left with arena nearly all done i didnt think i would go so hard playing the game over the past few days but i have gone +26 hours in the game so reminiscent of so many days playing DW1 on the ps1 as a 8 year old. Ya’ll deserve something for doing this too bad you cant really accept anything so have a shit ton of gratitude from all your fans which i will be following any new projects that could be coming in the future :)

Really wanted to say thanks for this great patch work! This game looks amazing and while I haven’t got to play it yet, I tested the patch (as far as the new game/load, etc screen) and so far it is looking great.
For the people asking how to patch it, open the DWRD Patcher application, load in the game ISO, make sure you push the save file button and pick a spot for it to be saved and give it a name, push sub or dub (I pushed dub as it has the american flag on it but I think it’s really just a sub patch. Kind of confusing) then push patch. After that’s finished, load the patched ISO (It will be a separate ISO than the original file)

Guys I really need a tip from ya all, basically I have a growlin right now, its day 6 and his stats are really high, the problem is to get wargrowlin his weight needs to be 50+ and no matter what i do it only goes up to about 48 and then it digivolves to blue meramon :/
I already know the trick with giving 3 small meats then a big 1 i tried everything but i just cant get his weight up before he digivolves -..-

Do you have the Japanese ISO? You’ll need it. Our program alters the original game, but you have to have that first.

@Pain If you’re far enough in the game you can purchase “heavy strawberry” for 2500 bits each. Each one completely fills your digimon’s stomach plus they gain 10 weight.

@kirowolfy25: You’ll need to use the patcher on a Windows 7 or 8 machine, and then you can use the patched ISO on PPSSPP for Android.

You have to make a copy of the ISO. Select one as the output, and the other as the input.

Hey there loving the game so far don’t know if anyone is having this issue or I am missing something and need a new iso but when I try to go to submerged ruins I start going down the path past the sign towards the entrance when get blocked by an invisible wall I’ll try a new iso when I can but just thought I would mention it incase anyone else has encountered this

I’m guessing that you pirated an outdated version of the game. You’ll need to use a clean, Japanese ISO and our patcher program to update to 1.1.

Well, I am guessing you can pirate it from somewhere, but we don’t provide ISOs because it’s illegal for us to do so. If you pirate it, I cannot make any guarantee that it will have been correctly patched or that it will be safe.
Do what you like, I can hardly stop you, but if you have problems, I’m not going to be inclined to help you when you went out of your way to avoid the system we set up to do things right.

Download the patcher, extract it from the rar if you go with the Mega link (skip this step if you use the torrent), use the first button to tell it where the JP ISO is, the second button to say where it should make the patched ISO (pick a different name than the original if they’re in the same folder), pick either dub terms (e.g. Gatomon and Digivolve) or sub terms (e.g. Tailmon and Evolve), then press patch.

That means you have a bad ISO. Usually that means you have a patched version, or one that was made incorrectly.

I got it to work, and I really do want to thank you guys for putting in the time. It’s great. I loved Digimon World on the PS because of the nostalgia and it’s unique. There was no other game like it. I have been waiting for a appropriate sequel for a while, and this is the one. I have a small problem: The game itself works perfectly, but it glitches sometimes. I am using PPSSPP to get it to work. As I said, the game itself is playable, the problem is the following: The Titlescreen animation won’t play, the same goes for evolutions. Whenever I talk to a digimon and no choice is part of the dialogue, the game just shows a grey background with the digimon picture and dialogue box still completely unaffected. I tried every possible combination of the video settings, but nothing seems to get it to work correctly. Could someone help me?

You said that it’s an english SUBBED patch, but when I downloaded your patcher, the options are only JAPAN SUBBED AND ENGLISH DUBBED. My phone’s speaker is bricked so engliish DUBBED would be useless. Why is there only japan sub available in the patch?

Because it’s not actually English dubbed. We’re not voice actors. We used either the English dub terms, like Gatomon and Gallantmon; or the Japanese subtitled terms, like Tailmon, and Dukemon. Other than that, there are only very minor differences.
Honestly, we thought we’d get relatively few downloads outside our core fanbase. The number of people who have been surprised has been… Surprising.

Why did you CAPITALISE various WORDS? There was NO meaning to DO that at ALL.
The game has NO VOICE ACTING, and it has been SAID MANY times that English Dubbed and Japanese Subbed are RELATED to the WORDS only.

@David: The patch does not contain the game itself. Legally you have to buy the game, and dump it via your PSP and then patch said ISO with the patcher.
There are more illegal ways to play, but we don’t support them here.

It works on real PSPs, but something about PPSSPP causes it to crash when emulated. It’s outside our area of expertise, but it doesn’t work on the raw version of the game either. You could probably ask them to look into it on their forums or something, but I don’t know if it’s the kind of thing that can be fixed.

Hey guys when i load the game it says “no save data found. At least 352 KB of free data are required to create save data”.
I know X = O O=X, i’ve tried that to no avail. The message comes up before i have the chance to press anything. All the people i’ve found online with the same problem just had to press O instead of X, but this wont work for me. I’ve tried downloading a save file and placing it in PPSSPP/memstick/PSP/SAVEDATA/, to see if it then somehow could overwrite that save and create a new one.
What do i do? I really want to play :)

You don’t. The patcher only works on Windows Vista or newer. It’s possible to use XDelta, the program we based the patcher on to patch the game on Android, but it’s not an officially supported option because it’s a lot less simple if you’re not technically inclined.

I wish people would actually read the post in general.
The dubbed version does not have dubbed voices. It’s in reference to the terms of Digimon and their moves.

As for patching the game, you need to have a legally obtained ISO of the original game, and then use the included patcher to patch it. We only support legally obtained ISOs here, so we won’t help you with downloading one.

So… I kinda just bought the Japanese version at a convention last weekend. Will this patch only work with the iso, or can I use the patch with the physical Japanese release?

@TK: I believe it’s only possible to use an ISO at the moment. I wonder if there’s a plugin on PSP that can do what HANS does for the 3DS…

@Anonymous: You’re using PPSSPP. Go to their forums for an answer. The crash has nothing to do with the translation patch.

Just one question. I have a physical copy that I’ve copied the iso from and stuck in the patcher you’ve provided. However, every time I try to patch it says that the iso hash isn’t correct.
I noticed from above you mentioned that this could have been caused by a transcription error that occurred when I dumped it? So just in case, I’ve tried copying the iso to my computer a couple times. It hasn’t helped, unfortunately, and I still receive the same error.
I also noticed that you mentioned something about the patcher having trouble working with the UMD as opposed to the PSN version of the game? Is that why I can’t patch it?

Any PSP will do, or an emulator, but you’ll need to install CFW on it. There are tutorials at the end of the post explaining how to get it running.
